Want to move abroad to live? You must be thinking about the quality of life and cost of living in the country you choose. Income according to expenditure or how.
You have to show good judgment here. There is no need to worry if you choose the right country. To make the right decision in this case, today's article can also help you.
But which country? You might be surprised to hear that Southeast Asian country Vietnam has been voted the most affordable country to live in. This information is known from International's Expat Insider, the country has achieved this feat for the fourth time in a row.
The list is rated on a scale of 1-7 considering three factors. Getting this 1 means very bad, and 7 very good.
Three factors are taken into consideration:
1. Cost of living.
2. Satisfaction with financial status.
3. Whether the family income is enough to live comfortably in that country.
Vietnam is naturally at the top of this list. 86 percent of expats expressed satisfaction with the cost of living in Vietnam. Half of the expats who took part in the survey said that the quality of life and cost of living in Vietnam is very good.
Vietnamese citizens are very friendly. The cost of living there is very low. An expatriate who came to live in Vietnam from the United States spoke about Vietnam in the report of Internationals.
While Vietnam excels as a place to live, it's not the only reason to go there. In fact, only 3 percent of expats living in the country cited financial reasons for living in the country. The work-life balance in Vietnam is also excellent, making the country attractive to expats.
The country has also made significant improvements in the ranking for job satisfaction. Last year the position was 24, this time its current position has moved up to 21 by 3 steps. Less than 50% of expats living here are employed full-time.
Living in Vietnam is not without its challenges, especially as Vietnam ranks 40th out of 53 countries on the Quality of Life Index.
It should be noted that their scores in environment, climate and subdivisions are also not satisfactory. Expatriates have expressed concerns about Vietnam's air quality, environment and availability of green goods and services.
In the Expat Insider 2024 report, apart from Vietnam, 9 other countries have been listed, where one can live comfortably without financial stress. 6 out of 10 countries on Expat Insider's list are from Asia.
The next country in Expat Insider's list after Vietnam is the South African country of Colombia, and at number 3 is the Southeast Asian country of Indonesia. The fourth and fifth countries in the list are the Central American country of Panama and the Southeast Asian country of the Philippines, respectively.
India is number six in the list. The next four countries are Mexico, Thailand, Brazil and China.
