The United States is the top 10 country in the world for travel and tourism. This information was found in a list recently published by the World Economic Forum (WEF).
According to the report of the US top media CNN, this list was published by the WEF last May. 6 of the top 10 countries in the list are from Europe.
According to a CNN report the list is as follows –

9. Italy
10. Switzerland
In making the list, some important criteria including infrastructure, natural resources, sustainability, cost-effectiveness, labor availability, hotel business, airports, attractions, airlines etc. have been taken into consideration.
The report cites continental Europe as a vibrant top destination with inter-regional travel flows. Reasons for this have been cited as good train connections, a strong economy, strong passports, and the strong position of the euro and pound.
Many European countries are mentioned in the list of world's most powerful passports. The Hanley Index (Index) annually publishes a list of the world's most powerful passports. 6 countries jointly topped the 2024 index.
The names of the countries that top the list of world's most powerful passports are as follows -

Among the countries on the list, apart from Singapore, five other countries are named in the top 10 countries for travel published by the WEF.
Singapore ranks 13th in terms of travel.
During the Corona pandemic, various countries around the world imposed strict restrictions and closed their borders.
When the corona situation normalizes, countries relax travel restrictions.
However, travel bans were lifted later in Asia's tourism-rich countries than in other regions. However, now that this problem is not there, it is expected to achieve more growth in the world tourism sector in 2024 than in the past few years.
In the case of Japan, the saying proved to be true. Ranked in the top 3 of the best countries to visit, Japan's tourism sector has flourished post-corona. More than 3,000,000 foreign tourists visited Japan in both March and April this year.
China, which is in the top 8 in the list of top 10 countries, has taken some steps to ease the travel process for tourists. Among them, the country has waived the visa requirement for residents of some European countries including Ireland, Switzerland, and the Netherlands last March.
Travel to China has also been made much easier for US citizens. They no longer need to provide proof of travel history or hotel booking to get a travel visa.
The United States is the only country in the North American continent to top the list of top 10 countries.
Neighboring Canada narrowly missed out on the top ten. The country is ranked 11th in the list.
WEF calls the US a 'mature' tourism market. The country has the necessary infrastructure for travelers. Such as air communication system between different cities, tour guides in tourist places, rental cars, hotel rooms, necessary services like maps etc.
