How to make yourself confident at work
Here are some tips to make yourself more confident at work-
A person's confidence in life increases as a result of his experiences, successes and failures at work and participation in various activities. It is a positive belief that helps people in their life aspirations and in choosing the right career. Self-confidence is not the only thing that is needed till career selection. Self-confidence is very important for pursuing career properly and achieving success.



In today's article, I will try to highlight some ways to overcome various problems at work and increase confidence. First let me discuss about the type of difficulties faced in the workplace. Not all of these problems or office tensions will occur in your workplace.

1. Being a victim of workplace violence-
Being a victim of workplace violence means being physically and mentally humiliated, facing verbal threats, being sexually harassed, etc. Such problems can occur in all types of workplaces. This can leave the victim temporarily or even permanently mentally disturbed. His work, normal life, family face extreme difficulties in it. Remember, this is a serious problem.

2. Discrimination-
This is often seen in the workplace. Treating or treating one or more persons on the basis of age, appearance, gender, place, religion, politics, family background, position, personal relationship, etc. is unethical. An employee should be evaluated only by his/her merits and work. This can lead to leaving the job, being harassed at work, being viewed differently from other employees.

3. Being a victim of domination and bullying-
Bullying in the workplace means; Being laughed at by others, being humiliated, spreading rumours, threatening to leave the job, being overworked etc.

4. Insecurity at work-
There can be many types of safety issues in the workplace. For example, physical insecurity, lack of necessary transport facilities, undue tardiness, hazardous workplaces, lack of proper sanitation etc., increase apathy and inattention to work.

5. Politics at workplace-
It is said that there is no politics in the country! More politics than that in the office. This politics is organized around personal networks and power. In this case, personal gain is more important than workplace gain.



Here are some difficulties. Now let me tell you some ways to get yourself out of these problems.

1. Every problem has some solution-
There are very few problems in the world that have no solution. Many times your approach to the problem will change the whole nature of the problem and bring about a permanent solution. Everything can be managed by keeping a cool head and being patient. Work as much as you can to find time for yourself and your family. If necessary, the matter can be resolved by talking to the boss. Remember, it is better to finish a few tasks well than to do many tasks haphazardly.

2. Be calm and patient-
Remember that nothing in the world is permanent, not even our problems. So wait for the time without being restless. Many times the boss may be transferred to another place, you may get a promotion, a better opportunity may come, your mental capacity and patience may increase.

3. Try to explain-
Try to explain your problem to your boss or someone above. Or discuss it openly with the person with whom the problem arose. Don't talk back and forth, it will only increase the problem and stress.

4. Own your mistakes and try to be humble-
If you make a mistake, hunt it down as soon as possible and be prepared to make amends. Never try to flaunt your education, experience and wealth at work. Remember, self-esteem and pride are two different things. If you confuse the two, the loss is yours.

5. Be your own critic without expecting praise- 
There are very few proud people who have not uttered the phrase 'No one appreciates my work'. Whether someone appreciates it or not, you will do your work on your own motivation. It's the same with criticism, it's wise to focus on your own work instead of listening to it.

Now I will go to the main place of my writing. Without confidence in the workplace, it is difficult to survive in the competition. Now let's learn how to increase confidence at work.

Now I will go to the main place of my writing. Without confidence in the workplace, it is difficult to survive in the competition. Now let's learn how to increase confidence at work.

1. Reframing the situation-
Always have a positive attitude for any kind of situation. It is normal to feel nervous in any presentation, meeting, interacting with different people, persuading them etc but you have to remember that if you overcome your nervousness the work can be done beautifully and constructively. So put aside all doubts, fears and uneasiness, face the task and finish it.

2. Taking Preparations-
Before doing any work, do some preparation for it. Try to do the work by hand repeatedly to gain experience or study something about the work. For example, before giving a very important presentation, the things that must be taken care of are:

A. Write down what you want to say on paper and practice it over and over again.

B. Make sure that your personality is reflected in the presentation.

C. Have a very good understanding of the entire topic and memorize it well.

D. You can practice in front of your friends or colleagues so that you don't have to face any problem on the day of presentation.

3. Keep fear away-
Don't be intimidated by a new type of work, take it as a challenge. Practice again and again, get ideas. You will surely succeed. There's a saying that, 'Practice makes a man perfect'. Always try to remember the word.

4. Body Language-
Body language is a big deal in the workplace. It will determine how you are perceived by others. Stand up straight when you are standing and talking to someone, keep your neck and spine straight even when sitting in a chair. Standing or sitting in the right way will increase your confidence manifold. Make eye contact when talking to someone, looking away can convey rudeness, fear and discomfort.

5. Take inspiration-
Notice how well successful people communicate in their workplace, communicate with people, follow rules, etc. Don't imitate, take inspiration and move on.

6. Choosing the Right Dress and Style-
Your clothes will boost your self-confidence. Dress neatly and elegantly in the office. Avoid wearing overly colorful and shiny clothes for both boys and girls. Don't choose a style that makes you the laughing stock of the office or that doesn't suit you. Wear sparkly and muted shoes that match your outfit.

7. Write down some of your past successes on a piece of paper-
Never get discouraged, write about what you are interested in, what you like and what you have achieved success in. Read it occasionally, if possible write it down on a piece of paper and hang it in the office room or cabinet. Having these in front of your eyes every day will increase your self-confidence.

8. Express gratitude-
Learn to show gratitude to people even for the smallest things. Show kindness and sincerity to all subordinates, from the beginning to the top, to the office staff.

9. Try to accept criticism-
Accept your criticism and try to correct it. If that's not possible, avoid it with a smile.

10. Give yourself time-
Adequate rest is a key ingredient in re-energizing work later on. Make time for yourself and your hobbies, family. Their love and inspiration will keep you upbeat and tireless at work.
There is not a single person who has not faced problems in life. We have to go through problems, failures, risks, frustrations, fatigues. Those who succeeded in life were not out of these.

Yet they overcame all obstacles, overcame all odds and achieved success by strategizing hard work and self-confidence. It is difficult but never impossible to work confidently in the face of various difficulties at work. It is possible to succeed in career by using the above strategies and will power.
