Apple runs the 'Apple Security Bounty' program to find security flaws in its various technologies and products. Under this program, if you can find the security flaws in the technology and apps created by the company, you can get various monetary rewards.
Now Apple has announced a reward of 10 million US dollars or 12 million rupees (exchange rate of 120 rupees per dollar) to find server security flaws related to the management of its artificial intelligence (AI) system. Apple Intelligence'.
According to Apple's information, Apple Intelligence basically coordinates the daily activities of iPhone, iPad and Mac users through machine learning. The system can already understand the user's work style.
This AI-based technology will be rolled out to various products, including the iPhone, in the coming weeks. And so this initiative is to ensure the security of Apple Intelligence.
While most of Apple Intelligence's operations are performed on users' devices, some work is done with the help of Apple's Private Cloud Compute (PCC) servers. And so it is important to protect the PCC server from any kind of cyber attacks.
Apple also published guidelines for those interested in finding security vulnerabilities in Apple Intelligence's PCC servers. There the working style and security system of PCC server has been highlighted.
Apart from this, Apple will give the opportunity to those interested to use their own Virtual Research Environment or VRE as well as other technologies.
Under this new initiative PCC server configuration or system design errors, unauthorized access and internal interface security flaws should be found. Apple will determine the prize money based on the severity of the detected defects.
