Apple is going to unveil the new update of its operating system iOS 18.3 at the end of January. Although there are no major changes, the new features will make the iPhone smarter and more user-friendly. Ever since the beta version was unveiled in mid-December, this update has created quite a buzz among techies.
5 amazing features to be added in the new update:
1. Create calendar events from posters: Calendar events can be created directly by scanning a poster or leaflet through the visual intelligence added to the iPhone 16 model. Pressing the camera button to activate the feature will automatically add event information to the calendar.
2. Tree and animal detection technology: The new update adds visual intelligence features to the camera controls, which can detect trees, animals and insects in real time. The Photos app previously had such a feature, but now it can be used directly in the camera.
3. AI Notification Improvements: Added new options to manage AI summary in lock screen notifications more easily. Swiping to the left will bring up a new option to turn off notifications.
4. Italic font for notifications: AI notifications will now be displayed in italic font, so that they can be easily distinguished from normal notifications. However, some categories of notifications are temporarily disabled due to the issue of confusing titles.
5. Repeat operations in the Calculator app: Double-tapping the equal sign in the Calculator app now repeats the last mathematical operation.
For example, after the result of 10 x 10 is 100, tapping the equal sign again will multiply it by 100 x 10. This update from Apple is expected to add new dimensions to the experience of iPhone users.
